ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) recently awarded ISO 27006 accreditation to TUV SUD America, which allows for accredited audits to ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

When it comes to securing the information assets of various organizations, the ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards is crucial.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 justifies the requirement for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The management of critical assets such as intellectual property, employees, financial data and others is made possible by these standards for different types of organizations. This also allows organizations to protect critical information entrusted to them by third parties.

To better serve its local and international clients, TUV SUD expanded its accreditation to the American region after years of providing audits to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 through different accreditations. This allows having localized control over every step of the certification procedure from the authorization of the auditor to the certification choice.

TUV SUD America’s Director of Business Assurance, Greg Bates, stated: “We are looking forward to this new accreditation to better serve our North American Based customers, and anticipate through this accreditation and processes to offer expedited services and certification decision times to address this quickly expanding market.”

John Tesoro, President and CEO of TUV SUD America added: “Achieving this certification comes at a critical time where the marketplace has heightened sensitivity to cyber threats, and our organization expands its cyber security portfolio across America to ensure we can serve our customer needs in a comprehensive and proactive manner.”
