NOIDA – In a major step towards improving public service and operational standards, five more police stations in Gautam Budh Nagar—Beta-2, Bisrakh, Sector 39, Sector 49, and Sector 58—have been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems.
With this latest achievement, the total number of ISO-certified police stations in the district has now gone up to eight. Earlier, the Expressway, Badalpur, and Knowledge Park police stations had received the same certification. Additionally, the Police Commissioner’s office in Sector 108 and the Police Headquarters in Surajpur are also ISO-certified.
According to an official statement by the Gautam Budh Nagar Police, the certification process involved a thorough evaluation by an ISO committee. The assessment covered key areas including physical infrastructure, documentation practices, service quality, and public-facing operations.
This certification is the result of a detailed and well-planned initiative focused on enhancing citizen engagement, streamlining grievance redressal, and modernising internal systems. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were implemented across all major departments such as CCCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems), IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System), arms and ammunition handling, cybercrime units, passport and dispatch services, and women help desks.
A key highlight of the initiative is the effective implementation of the new laws under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The Citizen Charter was also introduced to ensure accountability and transparency in policing.
Furthermore, all police personnel at these certified stations have undergone rigorous training in modern policing techniques and public service ethics, ensuring a more professional and responsive force.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification underlines the Commissionerate’s commitment to delivering high-quality policing, boosting citizen trust, and maintaining law and order with greater efficiency.
