The Netherlands’ Norit Activated Carbon plant in Zaandam has reached one of the highest levels of assurance for food safety.
The ISO 22000 certification shows effective management to reduce food risks that might endanger food safety through third-party certification. The HACCP risk assessment reveals any dangers that may then be reduced during the manufacturing of food-grade carbons. Within the international food supply chain, ISO 22000 adds a layer of assurance.
The accreditation adds to the site’s well-established safety, health, and environmental management programme, which has the same upper-level structure as ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications. This achievement exemplifies Norit’s dedication to the food business and ongoing progress.
