Google and CSF launched ‘AI Samarth’ to increase AI literacy throughout India

The Central Square Foundation (CSF), an education non-profit, has announced the launch of AI Samarth in conjunction with Google. The goal is to educate kids, parents, and teachers about Artificial Intelligence (AI). The effort attempts to teach people to utilize AI successfully and actively participate with current technologies. More significantly, it will address the growing demand for AI awareness and promote its safe usage.

Shaveta Sharma-Kukreja, Chief Executive Officer of CSF stated that with AI Samarth, CSF and Google plan to educate five million individuals in AI in the next four years. She also explained that AI Samarth will provide use-case-based and personalized training according to a beneficiary’s level of understanding.

In particular, the initiative has the following objectives:

for establishing an AI literacy that could be taught to students, parents and teachers with the help of professionals in the particular field.

to deliver an open source digital high-quality content for the beneficiaries.

to deliver content through local implementation partners in training form and other through online other medium.

to create awareness and bring on-board all-important stakeholders in a bid to share experiences of enhancing AI awareness within schooling systems.
