Global Village in Dubai has received ISO 41001:2018 accreditation, the first international Facilities Management System (FMS) standard from International Organisation for Standards (ISO), making it the first entertainment destination in the Middle East to get this honour.
The new ISO 41001:2018 FMS standard serves as a baseline for creating and implementing an efficient strategic, tactical, and operational Facilities Management (FM) regime by drawing on international best practices.
Global Village has invested in deploying technology and talent to bring quality to guests and create new entertainment industry standards across all touchpoints, with an increased emphasis on effective and productive integrated facilities management. Modern technology and best practices are employed by the specialised FM department to guarantee the efficiency, comfort, safety, and usefulness of park amenities.
Ali AlSuwaidi, Chief Operating Officer at Global Village, said: “We are honoured to be the first entertainment destination in the GCC to attain ISO 41001:2018 for achieving international standards in facilities management. Global Village has adopted effective systems across the park to deliver service excellence to guests and improve efficiency whilst maintaining business continuity. We thank all our teams, especially our dedicated facilities management team led by Ahmad AlMarri, who made this recognition possible. We will continue to work towards elevating the service standards, achieving our sustainability goals and exceeding our guests’ expectations.”
An organization’s compliance with international standards important to the market is ensured by ISO certification. According to ISO 41000, a facilities management system must demonstrate effective and efficient FM delivery that supports the organization’s objectives, aims to consistently meet stakeholders’ needs, satisfies applicable requirements, and is sustainable in a globally competitive environment.
Global Village was granted the esteemed accreditation after proving the efficacy and efficiency of its FM practises, which include four essential areas: health and safety, the environment and sustainability, compliance and consistency, as well as effectiveness and cost-efficiency. The park’s FM strategy is intended to limit unexpected downtime and increase visitor happiness by utilising infrastructures that are well-maintained and adhere to international standards.
