Cairo University College of Nursing receives 4 global ISO certifications for quality management systems, educational organizations, and workplace safety.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, declared that the College of Nursing has received three international ISO certifications, including: ISO 9001/2015 for quality management systems, ISO 21001/2018 for educational institution management systems, and ISO 45001/2018 for occupational health and safety systems. Additionally, the College’s Training and Research Consulting Center has secured the ISO 9001/2015 certificate for quality management systems, aligning with the university’s vision and strategy for ongoing improvement of education and research processes.

The President of Cairo University explained that these certificates were granted by GIC Egypt, an entity accredited by IAS, “the leading American entity in accrediting quality standards”, stressing the university’s keenness to provide the necessary requirements for ISO and apply international standard specifications for the quality management system, and follow the most appropriate methods to apply the latest scientific and administrative standards in order to reach the global level that befits the university and its history, and in line with fourth-generation universities.

Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek added that the College of Nursing’s obtaining 3 international ISO certificates reflects the university’s keenness on sustaining quality and accreditation, and also reflects the great importance of the college’s role in the medical sector for the humanitarian and medical services it provides to care for patients, pointing out the university’s interest in all standards not only at the local level, but also at the international level, and that the university’s faculties do not aspire to obtain accreditation only, but are also interested in gaining the experiences that enable them to develop themselves and obtain international accreditation.

For her part, Dr. Fatima Ahmed Abed, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, said that the college’s obtaining three ISO certificates comes as a continuation of the college’s journey, which obtained international and local accreditation for the third time in 2024, which confirms its distinguished position in the field of higher education, and proves its ability to compete in the international arena in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030 in achieving sustainable development, and reflects Cairo University’s strategy in supporting colleges towards institutional excellence and applying international quality standards.

The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing stressed the college’s keenness to maintain its leading position and achieve all accreditation requirements to ensure the application of international quality standards and the continuation of development processes for all activities and modernization processes to achieve goals effectively and efficiently and achieve the satisfaction of all beneficiaries of the college’s outputs, including students, society and the state, noting that the college is distinguished by its advanced academic and training programs, which aim to prepare distinguished cadres capable of meeting the needs of the labor market locally and internationally.

It is worth noting that Cairo University’s Faculty of Nursing has received international accreditation from the German Accreditation Authority (AHPGS), as well as a third renewal of local accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, as part of the university’s colleges’ efforts to maintain their academic, educational, and research achievements internationally.
