On the 7th October 2024, SK C&C stated that it had signed a “MOU for Business Cooperation to Create a Sustainable Management Ecosystem for Small and Medium Businesses” with the Korea Management Certification Institute (KMR), Korea’s premier certification authority.
This collaboration intends to assist small and medium-sized businesses in establishing a sustainable management ecosystem by integrating SK C&C’s digital technology strengths with the Korea Management Certification Institute’s ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) and management system certification competence.
As a result, the two companies will work together to gain and retain International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation, which is difficult for small and medium-sized businesses.
All ESG areas that are highly significant to businesses are covered by ISO certification, which confirms whether a company’s management system or the quality of its products and services meet international standards. These areas include quality (ISO9001/13485), environment (ISO14001/50001), safety (ISO45001/22000), information protection (ISO 27001/27701), community (ISO22301/21001), and ethics (ISO37301/37001).
“By securing ISO certification, companies can have a system to manage supply chain ESG as well as increase management efficiency, productivity, and establish a safe work environment system,” the business stated. “Many small and medium-sized companies are preparing to obtain ISO certification because there are additional points for corporate credit rating evaluation and benefits for participating in government and local government projects.”
Under this agreement SK C&C backs up the ’Click ISO’ that provides all-round support for the acquisition and renewal of ISO certification.

The Click ISO platform also contains internal intranet and functions such as company announcements, the management schedule and certification bulletin boards, and other features that can greatly assist small to medium sized companies regarding ISO certification maintenance, said an SK C&C official. “For instance, the users can input and store in the platform the standard form of certification review documents applied by the domestic certification agencies, modify contents periodically as well as administrate history.”
The two companies also also made commitments in the area of sales and marketing to promote ISO certification for SMEs. It will extend business opportunities through various business sales channels; SK C&C business partners and support projects for DX of small businesses introduced by Hwaseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Moreover, it aims at offering free tutorial on ISO certification process and practice for corporate actors and managers.
